Tuesday, 24 January 2006 Epygi To Show Complementary VoIP Applications at Internet Telephony Conference
FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 24, 2006 - Epygi Technologies, manufacturer of the Quadro IP PBX, recently announced a key alliance with iotum, and has completed interoperability development and initiated beta trials of the iotum Relevance Engine(TM). In addition, Epygi is announcing two PC applications to enhance the feature set of the Quadro IP PBX systems. All three applications are planned for general availability in the beginning of 2Q06.

Epygi formed a partnership with iotum to enhance its Quadro IP PBX product offering with iotum's Relevance Engine(TM). iotum's Relevance Engine is the world's first smart platform to intelligently filter, rank and, prioritize calls based on their relevance to you. This power tool automatically works with your existing electronic information sources and applications, such as your Outlook calendar, contact list, and IM application, to determine your status so the Quadro IP PBX can accurately route your calls. Epygi's Quadro IP PBX already combines a firewall, router, voicemail, and enhanced features like call queues, all within a single affordable box for small businesses. Together, the Quadro IP PBX and iotum's Relevance Engine deliver the perfect combination of power tools to maximize the efficiency of growing businesses.

"For mobile professionals and small businesses alike, iotum cost effectively mimics the skills of an assistant, including knowing how to handle important callers that are on the line, said Dr. Howard Thaw, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Iotum. The alliance with Epygi marries two leading edge communications solutions that are ideal for SOHO and SMB customers."

Epygi is also currently in beta testing with two other important applications for customers: the Quadro Softphone and the Quadro Communications Manager. The Quadro Softphone, powered by DiamondWare's low-latency, high-QoS softphone technology, is designed for road warriors who want the ability to make and receive calls at all times, even from their laptop while working in a WiFi hotspot. The Quadro Communications Manager enables users to monitor the status of other extensions, intercept calls, monitor the call queue, and click to dial. This feature rich application is designed for receptionists, assistants, and advanced users.

A simplified setup and tight integration with the Quadro IP PBX allow these applications to significantly increase the productivity of Quadro users. "With their tightly integrated easy-to-install applications, extensive features, and DiamondWare's high-performance audio, the Quadro Softphone and Quadro Communications Manager enable quality communications that other generic-type softphones cannot," said Brandon Weilbacher, Product Management Director for Epygi.
